Fine Chemicals are complex, single, pure chemical substances, usually of high value but produced in limited quantities through multistep batch chemical or biotechnological processes. As with pharmaceuticals they must meet the set-out specifications and are further used for processing within the chemical industry

Specialty Chemicals
Speciality chemicals are particular chemical products which are defined on the basis of their performance or function. As with fine chemicals they are usually of high value but produced in lower volumes. Depending on the volumes they may either be batch or continuous process plants.
